Day 1: Nairobi
Arrive at Nairobi International Airport where you are met and transferred to your hotel for overnight. The Stanley Hotel or equivalent on bed and breakfast basis
Days 2 & 3: Samburu Game Reserve
On the morning of Day 2 after breakfast, your guide will meet you at the hotel. Drive north to reach Samburu Game Reserve where you will spend the next two nights. Morning and afternoon game drives allow you to explore this beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy's zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. The park is also renowned for its big cats as the nearby Ewaso Nyiro River attracts many leopards. Overnight at Samburu Sopa Lodge on full board basis.
Day 4: Mt Kenya
After breakfast, continue your safari toward Mt Kenya and its foothills to reach Serena Mountain Lodge where you have lunch.
Sailing like an ark amid the primeval forests Kenya's highest mountain, Mount Kenya rises 2,134 meters above sea level. The lodge is cool, tranquil and hushed for optimum game-sightings. The open-air viewing-deck looks down on to its own water hole and salt-lick, which attracts numerous herds of elephant and buffalo. There is also a tunnel leading to a photo-hide, which offers spectacular game viewing and photographic opportunities just meters away from the wildlife at the water hole.
Overnight at Serena Mountain Lodge on full board basis.
Day 5: Lake Nakuru
>Leave after breakfast and drive to Lake Nakuru in time for lunch. Visit the world famous bird sanctuary of Lake Nakuru National Park, a park also renowned for its conservation effort toward the black rhino and the thousands of flamingos which flock to the lake. Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge on full board basis.
Days 6 & 7: Masai Mara Game Reserve
On Day 6, drive across the Great Rift Valley to reach Kenya's most famous Game Reserve, Masai Mara, in time for lunch. Spend the days exploring the rolling hills and plains for a chance to spot black-maned lion, elephant, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo along with varied species of hoofed animals. Overnights at Mara Sopa Lodge on full board basis.
Day 8: Nairobi - Departure
After breakfast return to Nairobi. Lunch is served at the famous Carnivore Restaurant where all kinds of game meat – roasted on great spits right in front of you - can be enjoyed. The restaurant also caters to vegetarians with a vast array of delectable dishes and salads Transfer to the airport afterwards to catch your outbound flight. In the event of a late evening flight, an optional day room can be reserved for you to relax and freshen up before you transfer to the airport.
