Best of Uganda and Rwanda| Game viewing and gorilla trekking
ENTEBBE - KIBALE - QUEEN ELIZABETH N.P - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST - KINIGI - LAKE MBURO - KAMPALA - ENTEBBE
Day 1: Entebbe, Uganda
Arrive at Entebbe Airport where you are met and greeted by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight.
Overnight at Lake Victoria Laico Hotel on dinner and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Entebbe - Mubende - Fort Portal- Kibale
After breakfast, drive to Fort Portal via Mubende with picnic lunch en route after Mubende. There is another stop at Fort Portal to break-up the long journey to Kibale. From Fort Portal, it's another hour to reach the Kibale area where the rest of the day is at leisure.
Overnight at either Mountains of the Moon Hotel or Ndali Lodge on full board basis.
Day 3: Kibale NP- Mweya (Queen Elizabeth NP)
After breakfast, leave for Kibale Forest renowned for the greatest variety and the highest concentration of primates in East-Africa. You will be taken to the visitors' center of Kanyanchu where rangers will brief you about your guided nature walk in the tropical forest in search of the wild chimpanzees.
Afterwards, continue west to Mweya in the Queen Elizabeth National Park. A stop is made at the equator for a traditional picture. You will have a short game drive on our way to the Lodge. Overnight at Mweya Lodge on full board basis.
Day 4: Mweya (Queen Elizabeth NP)
The best time for game-viewing is early in the morning! The channel track is particularly rewarding with warthog, bushbuck, waterbuck and elephants. You will also visit the Uganda Kob Mating Ground which is a defined area specifically used by Uganda Kobs for challenging, enticing and mating. After lunch at the lodge, you will take a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel where you may spot elephants, hippos, Nile crocodiles and many water birds. Return to your lodge afterwards. Alternatively your driver guide will take you for a late afternoon game drive. Overnight at Mweya Lodge on full board basis.
Day 5: Kyambura - Ishasha (Queen Elizabeth NP)
An early wake up as it's an hour drive to Kyambura Wildlife Reserve.. On arrival, the rangers will lead the way to the nearest point, where the chimpanzees are usually located. The rangers will give you a briefing before descending into the depths of the gorge. The nature walk takes a few hours and lunch will be served at Kyambura fig tree campsite before heading to Ishasha, where you will have a short game drive on your way to the camp.Overnight at Wilderness Camp on full board basis.
Day 6: Ishasha (Queen Elizabeth NP)
A morning game drive after breakfast will allow you to explore Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP, an off-the-beaten-track area, which is home to large herds of buffalo, Uganda kob and topi. You then drive to the northern circuit, known for its tree climbing lions. After lunch at the camp, set out for an afternoon game drive.

Day 7: Ishasha - Buhoma (Bwindi Impenetrable NP)
This is your last game drive in Queen Elizabeth and after lunch we leave for to Bwindi with lunch en route.
Bwindi is not far away and you will arrive at Buhoma in the afternoon. Time to have a cool drink, enjoy the sight and sounds of the rainforest.Overnight at either Bwindi Lodge or Gorilla Forest Camp on full board basis.
Day 8: Gorilla Trek - Bwindi Impenetrable NP
This morning after breakfast, you will be taken to the park gates for your gorilla trek. Gorilla trekking being unpredictable, the hike can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. Back from trekking, visit Buhoma where the orphans of the village will entertain you with their traditional Bakiga dances. Overnight at either Bwindi Lodge or Gorilla Forest Camp on full board basis.
Day 9: Bwindi - Kisoro (Cyanika) - Kinigi, Rwanda
Expect a long traveling day. After breakfast, depart for Kabale and Kisoro, driving along the Kigezi mountains and their unique scenery. Arrival at Kisoro, which is not far from Cyanika the Rwandan border. After the formalities it will take us another hour to get in Kinigi, which lies at the foothills of the Volcanoes. Overnight at either Bwindi Lodge or Gorilla Forest Camp on full board basis. Day 10: Gorilla Trek - Kigali After breakfast you will report to the park headquarters where your driver-guide will accomplish the necessary formalities for you. You will meet your ranger guide(s) for a briefing about the gorilla trek. Return afterwards for lunch at your hotel or at Ruhengeri and drive back to Kigali for overnight.Laico Munubano Hotel on full board basis.
Day 11: Lake Mburo After breakfast, leave for Lake Mburo. We stop in Kabale after crossing the Uganda/Rwanda border for lunch and continue to Lake Mburo via Mbarara. Arrive in the afternoon in time to enjoy a boat ride on the lake.Overnight at Mihingo Lodge on full board basis. Day 12: Kampala - Departure After an early morning breakfast you will have a guided nature walk led by a ranger. Lake Mburo is the only place in this part of Uganda where you can see zebra and Impala and it’s also the best place to see the African Eland, Africa’s largest antelope. Depart for Kampala/Entebbe where you arrive in the late afternoon and are transferred to the airport for your flight out. Depending on your departure flight you can book an optional overnight and/or day excursion.
