ENTEBBE - KIBALE - QUEEN ELIZABETH N.P - BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST - LAKE MBURO - KAMPALA - ENTEBBE

Day 1: Entebbe
Arrive at Entebbe Airport where you are met and greeted by your guide who will transfer you to your hotel for overnight.
Overnight at The Boma Hotel on dinner and breakfast basis.
Day 2: Entebbe - Mubende - Fort Portal- Kibale
After breakfast we drive to Fort Portal via Mubende. This is a long trip to Western Uganda with a break for a picnic after Mubende.
In the afternoon you will have a guided nature walk at the Bigodi Wetlands Sanctuary. You will be accompanied by a trained Sanctuary guide provided by an official Community based organization.
On your tour, you will likely see several kinds of monkeys including black and white colobus, red colobus, mangabey, red tail, vervet, and L’Hoest. Birds are everywhere in the Sanctuary : the great blue turaco, also frequently seen are varieties of papyrus gonoleks, hornbills, waxbills, weavers, cuckoos, kingfishers, flycatchers, and many, many others. Overnight at Kibale Forest NP in your Luxury tent at Primate Lodge on full board basis.
Day 3: Kibale NP
The Chimpanzee Experience is a unique opportunity that will allow you to follow a chimpanzee group in its daily activities.
Accompanying Kibale reserve researchers and rangers, you will be on the forest floor early in the morning to watch the chimps wake-up (de-nesting) and search for their breakfast. Then you will follow them all day - observing the full gamut of their behavior - until they build new nests (nesting) for themselves at around 7.30pm.
You will be part of the Uganda Wildlife Authority initiative to habituate chimps to the human presence without changing their natural environment. This is one of the great moments of your safari!
Overnight at Kibale Forest NP in your Luxury tent at Primate Lodge on full board basis.
Day 4: Mweya (Queen Elizabeth NP)
After breakfast, leave for the Mweya area of Queen Elizabeth National Park The channel track is particularly rewarding with warthog, bushbuck, waterbuck and elephants. You will also visit the Uganda Kob Mating Ground which is a defined area specifically used by Uganda Kobs for challenging, enticing and mating. After lunch at the lodge, you will take a boat ride on the Kazinga Channel where you may spot elephants, hippos, Nile crocodiles and many water birds. Return to your lodge afterwards. Alternatively your driver guide will take you for a late afternoon game drive. Overnight at Mweya Lodge on full board basis.
Day 5: Ishasha (Queen Elizabeth NP)
You visit the Uganda kob Mating Ground which is a defined area specifically used by Uganda Kobs for challenging, enticing and mating. Adult rams defend a circle territory (30 meters diameter) and depending on the season the mating ground can have 20 and more of this small territories each defended by a male. Ewes enter the territories for mating and move freely between rams.
Watch the spectacular fights as kobs defend their territories, look for lions as well because the high concentration of kobs attracts their predators.
In the afternoon transfer to Ishasha about 3 hours away and you will have a short game drive on your way to the camp. Overnight at Wilderness Camp on full board basis.
Day 6: Ishasha (Queen Elizabeth NP)
A morning game drive after breakfast will allow you to explore Ishasha, the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth NP, an off-the-beaten-track area, which is home to large herds of buffalo, Uganda kob and topi. You then drive to the northern circuit, known for its tree climbing lions. After lunch at the camp, set out for an afternoon game drive.

Day 7: Ishasha - Buhoma (Bwindi Impenetrable NP)
This is your last game drive in Queen Elizabeth and after lunch we leave for to Bwindi with lunch en route.
Bwindi
is not far away and you will arrive at Buhoma in the afternoon. Time for a village visit, a cool drink and to enjoy the sight and sounds of the rainforest. Overnight at either Bwindi Lodge or Gorilla Forest Camp on full board basis.
Day 8: Gorilla Trekking - Bwindi Impenetrable NP / Lake Bunyoni
This morning after breakfast, you will be taken to the park gates for your gorilla trek. Gorilla trekking being unpredictable, the hike can take from 2 up to 8 hours. Expect to walk along distance in steep and muddy conditions, sometimes with rain overhead, before you encounter any gorillas. Time spent with the gorillas is limited to one hour. Back from trek, you have the option to either transfer to Lake Bunyoni where you spend the night or stay in Bwindi to prepare for your second gorilla trek the next day., visit Buhoma where the orphans of the village will entertain you with their traditional Bakiga dances. Overnight at either Birdnest Lodge (Bunyoni) or Gorilla Forest Camp on full board basis.
Day 9: Bwindi - Lake Bunyoni
Today, enjoy either a second gorilla trek in Bwindi (Bwindi now has 4 sites where you can trek the gorillas (Buhoma, Ruhijja, Rushaga and Nkuringo. All different locations organized independently and located several hours away). After the trek, you will be transferred to Lake Bunyoni.
Or you may elect to spend the whole day relaxing on the shores of wonderful lake Bunyoni, which provides a welcome respite for most participants. Lake Bunyonyi is bilarzia free hence an ideal water for swimming and water sports.
You can spend your day, boating, swimming, exploring some of the islands or visiting the Pygmee community with a guide.
Overnight at Birdnest Lodge on full board basis.
Day 10: Entebbe/Kampala
After an early morning breakfast you will return to Kampala with a picnic lunch en route. Arrive in the late afternoon. You will be taken to the airport for your flight out.
